can anyone help on tyre sizes please,have just changed my old S1s for weathermans,ive got a wide rim on the back so have a 100x90x10 and was given a 90x90x10 for the front,the guy in the scooter shop knows his stuff but its 50mm smaller in circumferance and looks small compared to my S1,also being smaller will this effect my spedo reading,cheers.

The front will affect your speedo slightly, and read high. Your scooter will also handle differently in that it will turn in quicker. In fact I'd be interested to know how it feels ;-)

I have this set up on mine i like it turns in a bit sharper but not twitchy

Lets face it your speedo's probably out any way ;)

Make sure you dont get any rubbing on the back when you fit the wide rim with that tyre

Sounds like he does mate, a young racer told me about it and i've never looked back! what a difference!! :shock:

What about 3.50x10 on the rear and 90/90 up front? Anyone tried this? I have no room for 100/90 on the rear.

yes, just as good. i run weathermans with the 100/90 rear and racemans with 3.50 rear. :D

update! gave the 90x90 a try on the front,it did feel more responsive and didnt try and follow the ruts in the road. the only thing i found on my scooter was it felt like i was leaning over the headset!,so went back to 100x90x10 on the front,thanks for everyones input may give it a proper go next tyre change.

....Just out of intrest, do you have a wide rim on the back by any chance?? not that it should effect it, but thye wide tyre with a wide rim might be working againsed the front. :?

Just to clarify Matt, you have 3.50 Raceman on the rear with a 90/90 up front?

What rims are you using?
