porting my Tv barrel, mugello IV 186,rt195. i kow there are extremes in pricing on these options which is exactly whats making it hard to decide.i am going to have the crank upgraded etc for the extra performance, but will more expence really make the performance that much better for two, maybe three times the cost?

want an engine with touring tune not fast road.
ive had a few 175 cast iron barrels including a harry barlow one and although harrys performed the best, it suffered from overheating/seizures on any sort of long run at constant speed of aproc 55mph/60mph, which is wot all cast barrels that have been oversized to 175 tend to do,so i would put your money to better long term use and get urself a muggy186 iv. ive been running one on my series 2 with jetex 26 mm carb/fresco pipe/li50 gears with 15/46 setup or 16/46 with a clubman.pulls very respectably low end and will rev out for ever and cruises at 55/60 all day with 70ish available if thrashed
you know it makes sense rodney
