the pic was drawn in 1970 by a bloke from stockport , it captures the fashions at the time imho ie scooters/skinheads etc

Over in the east midlands we usually didn't wear helmets at that time, usually hung it off the back rack, unless it was raining, then the peak helped keep the rain out of your eyes, sky high backrests were fairly common though plus a bit of chrome.
