I'm looking for one of these ( like Dave Thackwray has on his Vega).
I've heard that a couple of manufacturers are going to remake them and was wondering if anybody has any news on progress ?
Alternatively, is anybody who uses this site capable of making a copy for a reasonable price ?
Definite order for 2 if the price is right.

Try Kegra, they may have a pattern. I know Graham has done a few. Might not be exactly the same.
That's not going anywhere...

Don't know if that helps, but Chiselspeed makes new expansion chambers (leg burners) for the Vegas.

Last time i was talking to Mick Abbey he was thinking of making exhaust pipes. Sound him out you never know your luck. I heard a while back (probably read it on some forum somewhere) that Kegra won't consider making these pipes as the cost would be too much to make/sell. I could be wrong ?

Hi I will be building pipes again if all goes to plan within the next 2 months I should be up and running, the only problem that I will have is that I would require the bikes to build them around as to ensure a perfect fit on the bike I will also be building one offs for custom machines

Cheers

even the std vega exhaust /silencer was fitted with heat shield grills.... :D

and there are some very nice pipes made for twist and goes that could be quite easily adapted to fit and work on vegas, and could possibly work out a whole lot cheaper than making one from scratch.....
i.m in the process of building a 135 cc reed valve vega for a customer, and have here a pipe (leo vinci ) from a 125cc twist and go that only needs its overall tuned length adjusting /plus its reverse cone angle...but its got good volume and should work really well and will hopefully be cheaper in the the long run, compared to making a one off... :D

Would that be for Cammi's Vega Sean? I was wondering how that was progressing. What did he use for the Reed valve? Did he go for the LTH option? Happy new year by the way
If Mick needs to use my pipe for a pattern i'm O.K with that ;) i'm still thinking of a Reed conversion myself maybe later in the year when i've got some more parts as at present i only have a barrel. Then i can have 2 top end kits to play with :?

Heres one I did earlier, went better than a Casa remade. Not that tidy but knocked up on a Sunday afternoon as an experiment Image Oh and it's for sale/swap if anyone interested although a smoother curve U pipe would look better
