it doesn't affect the ignition side of the electrics at all.
so, yes you can keep the agusto.
if you're happy with the timing now, mark the stator position before removing it to do the lighting coils wire mod.

are you using an actual Podtronics unit, rather than the Wassell ones ?
be interesting to see how you get on.
We are still waiting for some non-icey roads to test out the recent conversion i did, but I do now think it'll be ok... after all my gloomy posts before christmas...

thanks, its not a podtronics it's the single phase norton/bsa one off ebay, the one soulsurfer used, i'll scribe stator position etc. no probs , i just seem to remember reading somewhere that people were getting different timing readings with indian / italian cdi/ rectifiers so just wondered if it made any difference, mechanics i'm ok with , electrics is chinese to me, thanks again

The PODtronics and Wassel are the same, I have one of each. They also work fine with Agusto as Byron says ;-)

I didn't realise that, i knew they did the same thing, but thought the podtronics must be better at it as it's twice the price! should've known better really

I was told by a British bike parts supplier that he supplies Wassell over PODtronics as they're more reliable. I think the eBay guy is particularly cheap too as I was quoted £35 for Wassell and a POD is around £45, so go figure :? :D
