what do you think of the carbs,was thinking of getting one before seeing sean after new year but i`ve read good/bad reports of people, looking at 30mm prob or a good second hand one of another type.

I think they are good value, if you are looking to save some money when purchasing a carb......but overall im not a fan.
I prefer the build quality and the adjustability of a Dellorto, and spares are easier to get hold of for Dellorto's too.
After Dellorto, i like Mikuni....again, better build quality than the OKO, spares readily available, not as adjustable in the mid-range as a Dellorto, but simple to set up and they flow well for performance gains at top end.
So apart from performance gains and build quality benefits, both Dellorto and Mikuni have an abundance of jetting info available from both suppliers and many scooter riders/forums etc to help you get set up, and the spares are readily available when you need them too.
For my dyno, i carry both Dellorto and Mikuni spares, but not OKO.

theres plenty of suppliers of spares SUDCO or allens performance are the 2 i used, also dont just limit yourself to scooter dealers plenty of off road bikes use these carbs or there variants ... but like dan says theres plenty of info on other carbs and getting the jetting pretty close to start with is gonna be alot eisier from the off i have found the jets and neddles to be about half the price of dellorto ones and bought a case of 20 jets for £18 last year and 5 neddles for about the same from my local motocross shop

I've been running an oko PWK 28/30 (scootRs) on my Mugello 186 for a few years and it is fine. Like Shocky said, you can get the needles and jets from a few places including scootRs. I tend to get them on line from a German dealer. Since I got the jetting dialed in it has been absolutely fine. It's very light and is still on the original mounting rubber it was supplied with. I will most likely buy another one for the 225 I'm putting together.

Both of mine (24 and 28) had serious fuel starvatiuon issues and the 24 had a choke spring so weak that it never really ran right.

I'm running a PWK 28/30 (scootRS) on my Imola S2 for years without problems.
And it was even easier to jet than the Dellorto PHBH30.
And also running a PWK 24 (scootRS) on an indian GP200.
For what it costs, buy all the jets and needles with your carb.
