Dazza why dont you put your graph up on the forum along with the engine specs...Dazza wrote:No experience with the Race version but I have a 225 classic and love the way it performs, but I have had trouble with it this year, the rings snagged on the exhaust port and tire the top end apart- I understand this to be a factor of the use of an escorts piston and the fact that the ports are razor sharp out of the box.
I have replaced it with another rapido with a wiseco piston and I took the edges of the ports before fitting.
I am still running it in and am doing it by the book ( or the bit of paper that comes with it!) so I am hoping to get good service from it next year
I did get it on a dyno and it had just over 15bhp and the torque was around that figure too. It is a very torquey engine and pulls well through the gears and uphill.
But I agree with your comments about the classic Rapido, they seem to go well for a bolt on kit.
