Ok then lads lets turn this tread around.
I know there are a few proplems with the RB kit
* ok theres evident that the Plating ist the best (is this because the kit to to powerful)
* the rings wear out really quick (is this because the kit to to powerful)
* over heating on some setup ups (might be badly setup)
* ok and the exhuast bridge or some thing falls out
Are there any RB riders out there who have't had a problem and love the engine
I would like to here for you the PRO's, before I part with my cash and buy one......
which engine should I go for.

hiya READSPEED they qouted me 6 weeks for a water cooled head for my custom

A DAC engine is a completely different beast and, I believe, is in the region of at least twice the price of an RB.

Most likely been said but a Mb RT 255cc kit would be best, 64mm crank 71mm piston

1. the ts1, rb and super monza will be much more aggressive kits. so if the man with the cash wants something near cr250 power then the rb is the ts1 rb monza is the best route.
2. the rt255 kit will be nice but more civilized compared to the multi port options so its horses for courses, it competed head to head with traditional tuning, rapido, mugello ect
then there is the dac which i think is only let down by the fact that none of us really know where to start with it so prefer the ease of an engine that just bolts in.
i think there is room for another market too and thats the gt186 big block. or the rt with a reed valve, the type of engine that is reasonably tame but highish power to with lots of grunt, small carb and clubman/expansion hybrid. to suit the high milage tourers that want a modern feel without the "race" element and sticker kits
