Yes, you are quite right of course. I must admit I didn't notice it initially. I shall have to be a bit more observant next time. It's just that I've not come across this before and was momentarily confused. Easy to do.

Well thanks to this thread. I and others can avoid making the same mistake.

That's bloody daft, how about buying a proper tyre as a spare? :bouncyeng:
Wow, what brand and model of tyre is that?
Good to know to avoid in the future.

Conti Twists. I'm sure loads of people must have used them, or are using them, but I've never heard of this before. I'm just curious now as to what advantage there might be to reversing them for the rear tyre? Might be worth getting in touch with Continental themselves perhaps?
i have always fitted dual directional tyres as maked for the simple reason the manufacturer knows a hell of a lot more than a bunch of moped riders

I'm not so sure of the wisdom of that remark. However, I've sent them an e.mail and it will be interesting to see what they say.

On Conti Zippy 1's there is the same problem in that the arrow has to face the direction of wheel travel, so on the front rims the arrow is on the nearside and on the rear rims the arrow is on the off side.................still as clear as mud

NO IT'S NOT A F***IN* MOPED!!!!!!
