series 3 li light switch

why are there two types of light switch for the li? is it the type of model & a difference in the year of manufacturer? cheers paul

Do you mean LI Ser 3 , as in Special and Normal LI as the Specials had ignitions and the Dip/Dim Horn where as the LI had a Kill Switch and the seperate Lights switch ??

did all li specials etc have an ignition? i will be building the li type with a round headlight but it came with ther gp type light switch

I'd imagine it's a fairly common upgrade when fitting an ignition switch to an Li to simplify the wiring as the side light to main beam is on the igntion switch, means changing the light switch housing too but simple enough to do.
