Since neither of my scoots have a rev counter, how do I tell which versions of the Agusto I'd need?

One is a Monza with a TMX35 and a JL3, the other is a mildly tuned iron barrel with an Ancillotti and a TM24.
Meus Lambretta est non infractus. Is est quietus.

tony, by the way. i spoke to cam cote.....they do a satin black coting that disburses 20% extra heat......just bringing up an old topic for a moment :ugeek:
I know mate.. sorry, I was playing devils advocate for the sake of discussion on that thread. There's a few companies out there that do coatings that draw off heat. You also can have a choice of colours.. they all do they same thing-help cool. Not cheap tho.

Re the ignition. The best way to tailor the ignition curve to the machine is with a good operator on a dyno with a load device. I stress 'good' and 'load device'. You cant set up ignition without it imo.
Done quite a bit on ignitions. I had a mappable one on my racer in 2000-2007 . I discovered quite quickly that without the right software on the dyno, the load device (I keep going on about) that I would have to back all my maps off around 5 degrees and not across the graph either. Nothing was consistant. As you run the motor more you have to understand whats happening with temps to allow in the maps. I wish I knew then what I know now. Would of saved me a lot of time and pistons.

most folk dont even know what they are though so letting joe public mess about with ignition is not always going to be the best choice for everybody.

....comes complete with lid to seal it up once set. Keeping dust out and fingers and drivers. :)

For me it is a no brainer, all the Augustos plus a load more all in one box. One price of £80.00, should you decide to have additional tuning or seize ya engine and go for an RB instead this box will do the lot!! Just get it re dynoed and find the setting thats right.

How do you know what Augusto box to fit, 'me mates got a 6000' ain't really doing it right IMO.

Ps the adjustment is by a pot that clicks cleanly into place, theyre a standard item found in allsorts of things. They ai'nt gonna change setting when ya go over a bump.

Can't understand anyone buying an Augusto when this is about to be honest......seen the Italian jobby and is v interesting but a bit low on details on their website IMO. Pictues of the curves, but it would be nice to see actual figures before purchasing one. :D

Could a charitable soul tell me what is this retard thing (oh boy saying this last word was a call to be played around with I know... ) about? I have no idea why the need of doing this. I would appreciate an explanation.

Cheers,

Jaime

P.S: Augusto was the name of my previous boss, so I get the chills everytime I read that. Not sure if I want that on my scooter.

>>what is this retard thing about?

It auto-adjusts the timing so the spark fires at the best time for the rpm you are at, rather than being fixed at the best time only for high rpm which isn't so good for low rpm. Thus better combustion and power at low rpm compared to what you have now.

I do not try to explain why I ride Lambrettas,
For those who understand, no explanation is necessary,
For those who don't, no explantion is possible.
