after 5 years playing with vespas, ive decided to try the grass in the other field and buy a lambretta, decided on a jet 200 that was forsale recently, so it was purchased etc and today the motocycle mover delivered it to me
took it for its maden voyage, and i have to say i have only one regret, and that is thinking a vespa was a nice bike!
anyway my problem:
when i come into a junction, and bring the clutch in to go down the gearbox, or creep to the line type thing, it feels as tho the scooter has oval wheels, hard to explain in words really, like a oval hub and when you brake, fast slow fast slow fast slow.......
im not 100% sure its the clutch, it may be the hub, but i recon its the clutch as when you break with the rear it seems fine, only when the clutch is in and you roll forward it does it
many thanks chaps

Hi there fellow, the jet200 is indeed a nice scoot. I am not sure what you mean by the "oval" wheels, but if it is what I think it could have something to do with the tires being worn, or the rear hub not being adjusted properly. I might be mistaken.

its not worn tyres, as they have only done about 200 miles!
i think it may just be the clutch riding, so will try and ajust it a bit over the weekend and see what happens

Lay the bike on its side and spin the wheel!joda wrote:was out on the jet again last night, and im now 100 % certian the rear hub has become oval, whats the best way to check this & solve the problem?
If it wobbles that's probaly your problem.
Fix it by replacing your rear hub with a good one
Good luck!
