Hello boys,
Adding to Perry's comments, the factory was always receptive with whatever was cooking on the other side of the Alps. If tv was what was going on on the Spanish market in that moment, then the tv200 badging sounded suitable. However, the reason for using some Italian components and not whole engines, like in the case of the early TV Series 2, was that Franco had nationalized the production of motorvehicles, being able to have only a 30% of the vehicle produced in foreign lands.

To end, just say that I have several photos of the period taken by a sports fotographer from Barcelona, don't know what year exactly 65-66 of tv's participating in cycling events. Seems feasable that they wanted to try out these machines on these events, as its is proven that the same thing was done in Italy with the Giro d' Italia, as it has been shown to me this summer in Calabria, on my meet with the Lambretta Club Calabria.

Regards,

Jaime

earlier today i thought this posting had solved a problem i am having regarding TV200 gear clusters
after 25 years of soaking in diesel and 2 house moves i finally in the last 2 weeks got round to sorting all my gearboxs out
it turns out i have 6 TV200 boxs but none of the clusters are marked innocenti
so earlier today i thought they may be spanish but now it appears they did'nt use the TV200 gearing

so could it be innocenti had them made out or just forgot to stamp them
the machining on them seems of a better quality than other italian stamped clusters i have

answers on a postcard please

ive stripped several (ok alot) of LI 150 engines some s2 some s3 and about 10% of these have had no markings on the clusters alot of the engines in my oppinion had neve been apart ...... the same with the loose gears some stamped some not and some had etchings or engravings of the "I"
I have worked both at Honda and Ford in the uk plus various other large national manufacturers and all outsource components dispite making them themselfs inhouse , the products ive seen have no outsource id exept a few cast emblems sometimes this is done when a company such as ford need to use all there inhouse tooling for a certain range sometimes a completely new product ,but the old product is still needed but in a much lower quantity so a outsource agent is used but other times its the other way around and they cant get enough of there own product and go elsewere , there no reason innocenti wouldnt have done this as scooters and esp the tv/gt were not all they had on there plate at that time
