I watched the racing last week in Anglesey...
What I wanted to know was with the poor weather, cold and high humidity... did any of the racers suffer any carb icing.... Because the conditions were perfect for it, High humidity and well below 22 degrees... Normally under the right conditions the carburation goes off song as the air speed is increased through the carb, this happening as the throttle is shut off usually slowing down from high speeds/revs on a partial throttle opening... Causing poor running until the throttle is opened up wide to slow the air speed through the carb.... I Just thought I would ask to see if anyone had suffered odd carburation because of this while racing last week.... :?:

Ralf that was a very impressive outing I watched you carving your way through the much bigger motor bike outfits with ease... passing a couple comming out of the bends on power.... that was when I think I knew yours was running fine....I really enjoyed the days racing... 8-)

I asked the question about any one have carbs icing, as I thought it was below border line, very humid and possibly cold enough...

Not on the track. On the way back form a New York rally a few years ago. 215 wiseco, rd rod, 22m :o delorto running through a no air filter box and a mickeck. Running rich because of altitude. Couldn't believe it.
That's not going anywhere...
