is the hub sitting central in the forks ok also when you tighten up the nuts does it pull the links in at all just a thought as some of these hubs can put the wheel or links out of line but as suggested its prob the overley powerfull disc brake

I've had my significant other rock the bike and put the front on and if braking hard the damper will almost hit the axle nut. So if riding and braking hard it could hit, so I'm going to get some stiffer springs asap and see how that goes.
That was my thought, stiffer springs... that's why I asked how far off the rubbers the links were (while your sat on the Scooter) soft springs allow the link to have a large gap from the rubber... using standard springs or stiffer springs and these then packed with thicker than standard top washers inside the forks is the way I too would be trying to cure this... But don't over do the Preload as springs that are too stiff for your setup, could add to a front end that doesn't handle too well... You could use Kawasaki style steering dampers, these having the thin steel rod which might miss the Axle Nut.... Just trying to give a little feed back to your post.... I do hope you can cure this clearance issue... I'm sure there must be others with the same setup and similar problem...

Thank you Jims, I do appreciate the info & advice.

I do have a set of kawasaki dampers, but was saving them for the 250. I'll get stiffer springs first and see how that goes.

Thanks again jims.
