Tubeless rims, rubber type valve: WARNING...

They are deff. tubeless.Seems they are a bit of a b@5t@rd to fit though.

Has anyone started using these split tubless rims from Patron racing in Doncaster.Im interested in them and gonna be buying some soon but wondered if anyone else has clocked up any miles on them? At least they are UK based and they seem a decent company who give a s**t unlike some others.

I've used these for about 3-4000 miles now and haven't found any problems apart from refitting tyres.I've ended up taking them back so that Pat can fit them.

What was the issue in fitting them? You rekon its not possible to do at home?

They are the type that MB embarked on a few years ago and decided not to persue

Just had a look at the Demon Tweeks Bike It valves
£4.58 each for right angle ones
They do look identical to the ones im my Scootrs v3 rims
I presume it is the grade of the rubber grommet that is the difference??
Am i correct in this - that the failure part is possibly with the softness grade of the rubber grommet?
Looks like i will be ringing them soon !!

The rubber on my ScootRS valves felt "softer" and more pliable than the Demon Tweeks ones that replaced them. That may be just my imagination and I don't know about the grade or quality of the rubber used but I don't think so.

It's be worth hearing again from those whose valves went to see what they think.

Spoke with them and they said MB had nothing to do with the design of these and they did it all themselves which they are gonna say but they use them on their road bikes aswell.
