Looks very good... How thick is the barrel wall above the inlet where the boost ports have been cut out, or how thick is it now its been machined... as I have never boost ported a 150 barrel like this, only ever cut boost ports into a 200 cylinder, and they are not that thick at this point so care has to be taken not to over do the depth of the boost ports on a 200... I assume there is plenty of meat to cut into on the 150 because they do look plenty deep enough.... I do like this thread.. 8-) 8-)
So when is it going on the Dyno..??

i'll second that.
it's great to see this kind of work. by putting some quality time in on a iron barrel shows even "dead", undervalued cylinders still have potential. it definitely gives me some ideas.
now where's me die grinder?

Well lads all I can say is roll on test day hopefully in a couple of weeks time we will find out if all my efforts have payed off as this is a test barrel at the moment to see what can be squeezed out of a 150 cylinder and keep it reliable with what I have done so far I have left room for more improvement's with this tune but for now we will see how it performs as it is.

Cheers
Mick

This Saturday see's my Mick Abbey tuned 130 cc Vega on the dyno with Dan. I'm sure when it all shakes down i'll have a better performing machine. I will post up the results and hopefully a video clip if Dan gives the o.k. For all you out there that may be sitting on the fence about getting that tuning work done ,i wouldn't wait too long Mick's only going to get busier and your wait will be longer as a result

A dyno graph is always nice to see, but the howl of a scooter at full chat... and then the look of horror on the owners face as he wonders if its going to stay together..... Priceless.... Thackers, please do post the Video when its done...

There used to be a few Vegas on the race track, going back a few years... They were pretty quick too as I remember them and very light... Has anyone on this forum ever raced one..??
