I have been tracing the history of my Brighton GP150 and I now have the certified extract of index from East Sussex. They have confirmed the supplying dealer as Speedway Motors (no address) - can anyone confirm that this company was one of the Brighton Lambretta Dealers from the late 60s/early70s. Thanks.

Only one I know of was Masons, but you could call Gerry Ingram who would have been around at the time and was a Lambretta mechanic. Gerry is winding down to retirement now (long overdue, I think)

Don't suppose anyone else is remotely interested (!), but the 1969 edition of Kelly’s Brighton and Hove Directory lists Speedway Motor and Cycle Co (Brighton) at 2 Ann Street and showrooms at 1 Providence Place. So my mystery is now solved. :)

TurboTrev, i copied your message and sent it to a friend i work with he lives in Brighton this is his reply.

Hello Paul,
I came to live in Brighton in May 1968, I do remember a motorcycle dealer in Lewes Road Brighton, it went on to be Speedway, for some reason I think it was on the west side of Lewes Road but moved across to the east side and I think that is when it became Speedway, looking at the photo I think that was its original position on the west side so it could well have been Masons, I could take you to the spot in Lewes road where it was, the suggestion to contact Gerry Ingram is a good one as he is only a short distance away from Lewes Road and he has been about for years, a nice chap too.
