Hi fella`s
Building a scoot for my son and I`m going to use a RT225, no reed, BGM Clubman, 30 delly.
I have a GP 200 box, just wondering what gearing to go for?

standard will be fine 5.2 or 47x 18
gp200 with 19 x 46 gives 4.84, and if it wont pull it swap sprockets to 18x 47 (5.22)
win or lose have a booze

I guess a big factor in this is your weight, I mean I’m 14stone and run an RT235 with full mb touring/torque tune on an li 150 box at 4:4 overall and it’s spot on and will cruise easily at 70-75 on an nk road pipe, however if your 22-25 stone things are going to be very different.
However if your running the Indian 200 box there is less of a jump between 3rd and 4th than my 150 box plus the fact you run a clubman so I would imagine 4:8 wouldn’t be far out.

4.8 sounds pretty spot on because my son is a featherweight but over here the speed limit is 80kmh and we mostly ride really tight, super hilly roads so that's my dilemma.
I think torque is key here so maybe 5.2 will make it a little more fun?

I run mine on a TV200 gearbox. Admittedly with a 47 tooth crownwheel, but it goes well and is certainly the fastest scooter I've had.
