I would like to see what Mick would be capable of with a sleeved cylinder and possibly a bridged exhaust port going out over the main transfers... It could make for a very good day on a Dyno... :P

Interesting thread this.
I've not seen work like this before on a Lambretta barrel so it begs the question why ?
I realise one probable answer is because it could be just cheaper and easier to buy a larger capacity kit but I've not seen anything like this on a large block either.

The new casa lambretta barrel has boost port in the side of the bore but these are fed from below the piston not connected into the transfers, I believe SES do something similar to casa. But what Mick has done so far is fantastic! Biggest problem is going to be finding a bit of the barrel wall for the ring ends to run over
Out of interest does anyone know the width and thickness of a bridge in an exhaust port so it doesnt expand and rub the piston skirt. I know a hole can be made in the piston in line with the bridge to aid lubrication.

The harder Indian ones are really only a problem when porting in the bore of the transfers otherwise they are pretty much the same to port so long as you have Tungsten cutters and high speed hand pieces 20-30 thousand revs...

Still didn't answer the question about whether Mick was porting an Indian or Italian GP150 barrel :!:

You going to stand at the next election J1MS as you managed to slip that question so easily

Which begs the question....why not?

But to be honest....it was just an old junk cylinder he asked to play with, so its no big deal if it works or not...its just one for him to practice on. Its just a toy.
