Pretty sure I have one on the shelf! It’s the non ring breaking version IIRC!

Ha !! only just seen this and I was the seller of the notorious barrel and piston.
Honestly , I was truly shocked at what it went for . I expected around the £80-£90 mark and I would have been happy. I was out and about and half cut when the notification came up on my phone and thought it was some kind of joke.
Well, anyway, the money is going toward the rest of the TV rebuild and it was gladly received . Thing is , I had 2 engines when I bought the scoot , stripped them both and they are both TV 200 . The one top end I still have has a Borgo piston and a barrel with a 3 stamp on it so I assume that makes it a later version if anyone knows ??
I`m a bit torn now as to what to do it as I already have a new top end to go on the casing I just had blasted . As that one went for such an amount I`m really tempted to sell the other plus the spare gearbox and put the parts I really want to fit into the new engine .
I`m not fishing at all , just wondering how long you should hang on to stuff you are probably never going to realistically use. cheers

Hi Nellyboyo,
Yeah, great sale price. As a vendor you should be very happy with that price. The last TV200 barrel I bought cost me £10 at a parts fair (last year).
No, the numbering system has been questioned a number of times over the years (probably a few threads available on forums) and it appears as though they may be batch or mold/casting numbers numbers as they don't signify age or chronological order, i.e. I have a late TV200 barrel that is a number 1 and an early TV200 barrel that is a number 3. I did note that the barrel that sold for BIG money didn't seem to have a number stub, which is unusual for a factory fitted barrel so I'm even more surprised that it went for so much (NB: I'm not saying that it wasn't a factory fitted barrel, just that the price was 'top dollar' for a barrel that didn't have this identifier).
TBH I would expect a genuine TV200 barrel with all of the common factory markers to make more than one without. The identifiers are:
1. The barrel should have a 0, - or + on the head gasket face. This is because the factory works to a tolerance for the 66.0mm bore, whereas aftermarket barrels do not normally work to this graded size. Aftermarket barrels will be bored for the pistons being used, rather than barrels and pistons being paired by the 0, + or -. The Spanish factory barrels typically show this too. I've not seen this on SIL barrels but I do have an Indian pistons that are marked like this, even up to ++.
2. TV200 barrels do not have the notches taken out of the top fin (opposite sides), which were put there so that workers or parts staff could pick up a barrel and immediately identify what it was, without having to start looking in detail at porting, etc. The notches were put into the SX200 barrel to identify it as not being TV200... but was also carried over to the GP200 barrel, which kept the same Innocenti part number as the SX200.
3. Number stub off the side of the inlet manifold area (as discussed above). Every barrel that I've stripped off an untouched Innocenti SIII bike/motor that I've stripped has had this, however, I have 100% faith in the word of a couple of pals who tell me that they've stripped motors/bikes that did not have this feature. I've yet to see/strip one but I keep an open mind to this as Innocenti had a habit of doing the unusual.
The way original Innocenti 200 stuff is going up in price, I even expect people to start refitting TV200 cylinder heads again, which everyone has been taking off for decades.
Cheers,
Adam
PS: This identifier info is available in the later editions of the Official Home Workshop Manual. 125s and 150s follow a similar sequence but continue on to incorporate cuts across the spigot too.

Cheers for the info Adam , I`m away at work now so I cant check details on the one that's left.
I`ll probably sell it on as I`ve got a MB 215 cast iron kit already .
I need a new crank/crown wheel/ flywheel so that can go against the price of them if you know what I mean ,
cheers
