Evening all.
I’m after some help here, I have not been into lambretta for long always had bike.
Just got my self a gp 200 and looking to upgrade the engine.
Been doing a lot reading of all the cylinders available on the market,
Which kit should I go for ?
Cast or alloy ?
Please feel free to post your opinions

For an economical and VFM solution...have your existing cylinder reworked/ported and fit an upgraded exhaust.

"Dan the Drunk" ? .....Hmmm .... has a nice ring to it....
In general: Cast more likely to seize but road side salvageable when it does Nicasil/ceramic, less likely to seize but more likely to be fatal when it does........
Go Nicasil/Ceramic the Avanti is a good established kit.
What type of riding do you intend doing ? Kitting a Sunday ride-out may be a different kit to a European long-haul tourer. Are you wanting a street racer or a motorway mile muncher.
Give us a clue what your intended use is .

Mick makes a very good point, you need to budget £1000 + to get the engine in a fit state... then consider and exhaust and labour to do the work for you.
Its not a cheap hobby these days...
You need to work out what your budget is, and then you can sort out what you can get for that
