Been trying to find a left cut out 16.5L Saigon long range mild steel tank. Have messaged Saigon direct a few times without reply, so I started ringing round UK dealers. Seems nobody has any in stock. Have been told by one dealer that they have non cut out 16.5L tanks in stock that they had made to order by Saigon, they say that the cut out wont be needed with a 30PHBH on Mugello barrel. They don't have any photos of one fitted with a bigger carb to show me though before I order. Have searched online and can't find any photos of non cut out tanks either. I won't be fitting it straight away so don't want to order and find out it's not going to work when it's too late to return. My Mugello has had an Atomic mini reed fitted too so in my mind this might change angle or position of how carb fits/sits. Not after a stainless tank either. So am asking if anyone knows who has a left cut out tank for sale or has fitted (and has photos of) a non cut out tank with a larger carb. Cheers.

You don't list the dealers you have been in touch with, so have you tried Oiltek my apologies if these are one of the suppliers you have already contacted.

Hope this helps.

Oiltek don't stock the Saigon tanks, they make their own.

Stu try Corrado from JustLambretta on here, or maybe TSR?

And my advice is.....get one with a cutout.

Just Lambretta not showing the style of tank I want, but will message to make sure, hadn't considered TSR...thanks! Yep a cutout tank I think so too. Not naming the dealer but a non cutout tank matched to bigger carb/reed seemed to invite a lot of possible problems. If anyone knows who stocks the mild steel left cut out tanks with no centre seam can you post a link or details of dealer please. Thanks :)

Just question why you want 16.5 litre, you will lose the toolbox. Mine is 11.5 with two cut outs. I ride with mates with standard tanks so i’m always waiting around for them....bought mine from justlambretta.

If you use a 'snake head' carb top on the PHBH you won't need the cutout as the cable comes in from the side

You can get one with a toolbox cutout but no carb cutouts, may not be 16.5l but still more than a standard tank. CamLam used to sell them but out of stock

My arse hasn't got a 16.5l range even with an Airhawk, my 12l midrange has more than enough range
