Have borrowed a mates Jarspeed pipe on my rb20 as the Nk mid i had on dropped off in 4th and its been much better, pulling through all the gears including 4th. No power band though, which is a bit of a downer but a lot more rideable. Anyway i have to give it to him back as he needs it for his own RB. Im going to get his JL2 and try that on mine but i suspect it will fair the same as his which still struggled a bit in 4th.

Im thinking of getting a 2nd hand JL if its okay but was wondering what the differences are, eg JL2, 3 etc?

RB20
30m delly
45 main jet

Thats about it

Byron, you may be right changed it from a 50 yesterday so i could see how that went for 24 hours, nochange really maybe a little more boggy. will try the JL2 on tomorrow and see how that is with the 45 and then go back to the 50 if its not an improvemt.

Having read up on pipes im leaning towards trying a JL3 which is fast road/race as this may still give me 4th gear and a power band to boot.....Really flew before in 2nd 3rd but no 4th....I want my power bands back.... :(

Lam, put the JL2 on today and gave my mate his Jarspeed back, Less power than the Jarspeed but is very smooth, I sought of expected that would be the case. Bit of a quandry now as i still need to get a new pipe as the NK iv got is a non starter as 4th just doesnt kick it all.
Im thinking of a JL3 as it looks to be more revy than the the JL2 but not as revvy as the NK.

Think I may start another thread on the merits of a JL3 on an RB, also want to know what the diff is between them and the franspeed?

Running 46x16, mate do I want some of that. Is it a rideable 80 or is he revving the nuts off it to hit the power bands and get some speed. Ideally i want that sort of top end, think im only getting around 70, but with a lambretta speedo who knows...

have started another thread on this so pile in....
