DT, you are such a tease!
What we seem to be agreeing on, or perhaps just what I want to read between the lines, is that a motor can be more efficient, rather than just bigger... but bigger makes it easier. See what I mean about the benefit of subjective interpretation (lol).
The issues of weight, balance and throw are of interest and I have noted just how different some pistons can be, even when specified for the same model, e.g. the difference between a genuine Suzuki TS250 piston, a Mitaka version, a Wiseco version and some of the other pattern items on the market. Stick said pistons, light or heavy, onto a 107, 110, 115, 116 or longer rod and spin it to several thousand RPM and the results are very different.
Good input from many, thanks, incl. RT’s comments about the additional casing meat and increased web diameter options that could be considered.
Keep it coming...
Cheers,
Adam
Cubes, cubes, I want more cubes!!!
