I had a very close call this weekend after 700km riding.
I have sent an email to the MAJOR dealer involved with the parts in question and wonder how long I should give them to answer before I start posting photos of a these potentially fatal Items?
I ask because I really dont understand how its even possible, but i`m a little affraid of posting before they get the chance to answer.
Unsafe parts.

As a dealer the last thing I want is a parts failure leading to injury and it would be responded to immediately and I'd pull any remaining stock of those parts until the issue had been looked into.
I'm generally not known for my swift ability to deal with inquiries and questions but in this case I'd reply asap.
In a similar situation I'd expect a reply with 48 hours or I'd begin the think that they didn't treat the issue with the gravity it requires.

Safety issue I would put a picture of the item immediately. You don't need to name and shame as it's not a service issue.. just a " have a look at this part and see its still ok"

Ok. No Answer yet.
I will post the pictures tonight. I dont think I fit the parts incorrectly although I am willing to accept that someone may be able to shed light on the matter who ever is at fault. Me, or the product developer.
I think that the problem I had can have massive consiquence on future developement of the lambretta engine and belive it can be fatal if not dealt with, either with concise fitting instructions (although doughtfull this helps), or imidiate recall and maybe even a total re-think of how parts are tested and even implementing some kind of saftey standard.
This may put off a lot of future developement because of costs, and I may be over exaggerating. Although I have no dought in my mind that had I ridden 100 meteres longer I would now be in hospital, or a wooden box. The back roads over here a very unforgiving if you spill with 1000 ft sheer drops at the side of the road.

That looks like an install error. What tire you running? Did you make most of the ride and then fill up your tire with air? Your tire ballooned out and fouled so badly on the case it seized up and the shaft spun around?
