OK I will try without a filter. After that did you just accept that you could not have a filter?

How much is a dyno session anyway and does it not need to be run in first?

Well I took the filter off and tried again
122 too boggy
120 drives nicely. Plug is looking nicer chocolate brown on one side but still light on the other

This could be that it needs more time to change colour all around the plug? Or maybe not and if not how do you read such mixed messages from the plug colour?

If I was to run with out a filter how much protection would a bell mouth gauze offer? Anyone know where I can get one to fit a sh1/20?

Anything you put over or around the mouth will effect the jetting. I bought a nice shiny bell mouth and scoot was very boggy. Showed it to a mate and he asked if I had added anything I said just the bell mouth. Took it off and it rode fine.

Yeah that's understood. I guess a bell mouth would at least stop larger objects entering the carb. I may try running it with an empty plastic Vega box on it see if I can find an OK jetting
