saw one poor individual heading South on M5 just outside Bristol yesterday. The S/B carriageways were all at a standstill.

Why would you go on the M5 from Bristol to WSM when there are fantastic A/B roads available and shorter distance too?
Ho hum, we went almost exclusively B roads bypassing Cheddar/Wells etc and had a great ride back, it was bit busy in places on the way down though.

Just got back myself,excellent ride there along the a429 Fosse, then picked the M5 for the final leg not Weston. Return journey M5 all the way back to Tewksbury then a46, m69, M1, a6 and home, never missed a beat despite doing 70+ most of the way on the motorway, funny thing was I never saw another scooter going or coming home, weird.
Fuel wise averaging 60 miles to 6 litres but that's spanking it fully laden into that wind.
