Ricambio basically means as a translation 'replacement'

Why would 'made in Italy' mean the quality would be any better than anywhere else?

If products are made to the proper tolerance why does it matter WHERE they are made provided that the commissioner of the manufacture has proper quality control in place?

I wouldn't get wildly excited. I don't remember their stuff being as good as the panels that are around today.

I would also spend my cash with a seller who is straight up with you if you can get same elsewhere. Was told the same 'ricambio'. I asked over the phone just if a remade rear mudguard was going to be straight good fit, holes drilled correctly, etc. Was told yes , made by' Casa' !!! Just be straight with customers .

Just be careful. Most remade panels don't have the tube for the panel handles and as such are based on the later s3 type with the black rollers.

Fine if that's what you're after and of course I think GP ones were all black rollers. Wont fit very well with the earlier white nylon rollers.

Obviously this won't affect clip on panels.

Also most of the remade panels have big spot weld marks around the brackets.

Come to think of it you're right. So would just affect earlier s3 models that should have tubes on the brackets

I ordered and received a pair of LIS panels from Scootrs about four years ago and they were fine, definitely machine pressed, for £44 each!!, I don't know this for a fact but knowing how much tooling cost there is probably only one manufacturer of replacement panels, and they are probably in vietnam, by the time it goes through distribution to say Italy then the price is much higher, and perhaps the perceived quality!

Disagree. There's a set of presses somewhere down south in England. Not too far south though
