Does anyone know what the paint code is for white on a jet200? Rebuilding a 1980's jet so want to use the correct white.

That's news to me I have to say. I haven't seen that snippet from Lambretta Archives before and I have never heard of a Saratoga white, let alone a paint code for the white that Serveta used.

I'd be genuinely surprised if the Spanish used the same shade of white from the early '60s to 1980 though.

I bought a 1980 Jet 200 new. All I can categorically say is that it was more of a grey shade of white than the Indian GPs of the time.

I'd be surprised if it was this Saratoga White. It's a bit of a leap from a S2 to a Jet 200. I do have a Jet that was white originally. Overpainted with a fetching shade of metallic blue. It was matched, or near enough. Although, heaven knows what code it is. To my eye though it is pretty much the same as RAL 9002 the Italian colour, which is a grey'ish sort of white.

I heard that they just used what was on special offer at Spanish B&Q on any given batch so there was never any continuity of colour, particularly the Mustard? Ochre? Jet 200.

Oh and what happened to the Jet 200 from 1969 to 1972? Surely they were on sale in UK in 1971?

Well he's painting the same colour white as the original set of white forks that came with it as he says he has matched it.So whatever the code/name/batch number it was its now feckin white lol.
