Adam, the bike is a 1985 sil gp200 with battery, the existing switch just switches the horn and headlight main beam/dip. It's just like he one i had on my Italian gp in 1971.

Adam, just noticed the fixing holes on the existing switch housing are vertical, whereas the rayspeed housing is horizontal.

I tried a 2 button with a cancel button that worked but was a pain with gloves going round a rounderbout going from one to the other. I wouldn't go back to arm signals most think you are waving then on.
ummm what switch is this you are using for indicators ?

In which case you would do have the different lever housing fitted to... so my suggestion is not as straight forward as would have been good. I notice that someone on another site (FB?) has said they would send you a lever housing for the price of P&P... but you would still need to determine which headset type and lever housings you have fitted. Unfortunately SIL fitted both types over the years and it is now impossible to guess what you have fitted and/or whether the current headset is the one it left the factory with.

You'll need to determine what you have before you can determine what will fit it.

Best of luck resolving this issue.

It's the rocking 3 position light switch at the bottom that needs modifying as they come wired for 'off-on-on' and you need 'on-off-on'. I did mine to an 'alleged' servetta indicator switch that turned out to be a plain light switch  It wasn't that easy as the centre pole had never had a wire soldered to it and requires complete strip down of the switch to accomplish. I've seen some really need conversions done with a cut down Honda Cub indicator switch unit welded to the Lambretta housing, very neat solution.

Martin, your indicators won't be in your normal line of vision so won't be much use as a tell tale. I have one of my Servetta idiot lights wired as a tell tale but don't notice it flashing. Have trouble on my GTS as well for that matter. We need a big indicator light mounted on the visor

The series 1 -2 switch is similar to the series 3 but its rotary, I cannot remember how I did it but use the central point as supply and point it via the spring loaded ball bearing at the left or right. Never had a problem with it but yes you need to drill out the hollow rivets and reassemble. a bit of skill with a soldering iron and clean the tarnish of the brass posts. If I remember rite the switch was playing silly buggers as the posts had come loose and the ball used to jump out. I enlarged the hole in the post and fitted a small nut and bolt, working on the basis of it don't work so what can I loose. worth a go on a cheap one but maybe not on a 100 quid NOS one. Get a digital flasher unit with a beeper built in. You can here it and other road users can hear that you are turning.
