This reminds me of the first parts fair I ever went to, Peanut Duck. I bought a remade SX rim for £10 but then spotted a bagged Casa one on Howard Chambers stall he was selling cheap for £10, so snapped that up as well, cursing myself for buying the repo one first.
I bet you're already ahead of me on this one ........ of course when I got home the remade one actually fit ok and the Casa one was nowhere near.

Whilst there are quality control issues with a lot of these products, I have seen lads blame the product when they have powder coated headsets and headsets that, over the years, have clearly warped. No rim is going to fit then.
