50/55 wat halogen

can you just fit a 50/55 watt halogen straight in i have 12volt ac a holty special led rear light

i haven,t done punctuation since 1977 its a lambretta i,am sure it was 50/55 but its in garage locked up but if it is 55/60 can it go on or is it to much thanks

hi garry,
yes should fit reasonably easy, its the gp h4 halogen conversion, just plug all your wires into the new bulb holder,do one at a time if possible so you dont get confused, the earth wire is red,a strange coluor for an earth,but its just the way they come, connect this to one of the control rod screws so you get a proper earth, then you have the blue and yellow wire which push into the female wire connectors , i put i little insulation tape over them to make sure they cant short to earth, start it up and check your lights before you put it together, dont touch the glass part of the bulb, it makes them blow, any probs give me a shout,

that's were I was going wrong Donnie I wondered why it was sticking out and couldn't get the lens on lol
