Venhill have a set up on their stall when they do shows and they have a couple of set-ups with their cable inner and outer and an industry standard cable set-up [not Lambretta] but the Venhill ones are super smooth to pull in and out versus the standard set-up. Whether or not it makes much difference in the real world is debatable. Same can be said about the BGM £30 sets, they're super smooth compared to a £15 Indian set [90% of those on sale are Indian].
Pays yer money ..... blah, blah, blah.
It's rare that we debate the cost of 20 cigs at £8 or £5 a pint at various establishments.

I have never seen a Lambretta with those sort of cables.bristolmod wrote:I had an original Silver Special a while back with all its original outers and inners.
The inners were "solid" cables (i.e. not braided) and obviously stood the test of time since it was assembled in 1965- the clutch and gear actions were so smooth as well.
