Hi all,
I've just tried fitting the lower steering race into my GP frame and I pushed it in by hand. On other ones I've fitted they needed some persuasion to go in. It's a SIL one from SR so not a cheap Viet copy and the frame is an early Indian one and the race that came out was the original one so the frame has not been beaten about. It stays in on its own so it's not mega loose. Will it be ok to smear some loctite on it and let the forks hold it tight in place or do I have a problem? Thanks in advance Pete.
Loose lower steering race.

You should be all right using Lockfast T71 stud lock. I used some on a machine at work on a bearing that had worked loose in its housing resulting in the outer bearing race spinning and damaging the housing slightly, well that was a couple of years ago and we've not had a problem since.

Cheers for that. I've got some stud lock somewhere.
