help.
my SIP speedo has been working fine for about a year now, last week it started playing up, after about less then half a mile the rev counter starts very slowly moving to max and the speed says 124mph,the button during this episode does'nt work, I'm using a BGM stator and rectifier, as I say it was working fine

cheers for the reply, I tried that I even changed the plug cap, I have a spare SIP speedo in the shed (don't ask) so thought I'd try swapping the power box, only one of the connectors is the same so I couldn't use it, I'm wondering if its my BGM rectifer not working properly.
back in the shed at the weekend

I had a similar problem but with the temp gauge that eventually I traced to a chaffed through wire that was earthing out.

thanks for your reply, I hope not, I run all my cables and loom through the frame, but I will pull the speedo wiring out at the weekend, great.
