Phbh 30 swap for tmx 24 carb questions

Im running a monza 225 with on a phbh 30mm at the moment, I've been offered a tmx 24 cheap and knowing it's a better carb wondered how it would affect performance, would it reduce consumption while maintaining a good level of performance?
