Going back to the digital speedo drawing board. Brain frazzled! In the meantime old standard non working speedo.

Finally got the speedo fitted and working but a couple of questions.

1. The speedo constantly flashes FUEL even though I've not long filled up?

2. Trying to adjust the clock on option 5 but where the clock is it just has 3F 7F and when I try to adjust it

Oh and I forget to mention the speedo doesn't work either.

I've made some costly mistakes in my time, but this is up there with the others.

Most elaborate rev counter ever.

Sorry to hear of your problems, I rate my Mk 1 SIP speedo as one of my best purchases for my lammy!
Have you checked that the wire for the fuel sensor isn't shorting to earth and what fuel tap are you using it with?
Speedo using cable or sensor?

Thanks for the reply. Speedo sensor is the Ext sensor.

Petrol tap came with the speedo.

Does the blue light on the sensor go on/off as it passes over whatever it is sensing ( magnet, bolt head etc)?

Sounds like your doing the right thing, might be time for an email to SIP.
Keep at it, it's quite a novelty to have a stable accurate speedo on a lammy
