Made in Spain, made in India, made in China......life has moved on since Innocenti closed.

Seems to imply the scomadi is a lambretta???

It ain't.

Lol....no such implication was made. I'm very aware of the branding. My point is.....Innocenti closed down decades ago and good scooters have been made all around the world since.
Of course we favour Lambretta and Vespa....it's our 'thing'. But you are suggesting EVERYTHING made in China is crap, but I dare say a lazy day at Eibar or SIL may well have produced a few 'Friday afternoon' scooters which were less than reliable too! But in your opinion, that's OK because they are Lambretta and so somehow excusable....?
The fact is, original Italian Lambretta scooters are getting harder to find, more expensive to buy, and more costly to maintain.
Scooters like the Scomadi, the GTS (and hopefully the new Lambretta later this year?) will provide OPTIONS for people who maybe can't afford an original machine, or who want something new with warranty, or who maybe just fancy a change?!?!
To at least have the option is a great thing.
What makes me laugh, and sometimes even sigh, is how staunchly some people resent these machines. I mean just look at this thread, it's one example of many where people can't help but p155 on the 'new scooter parade'. I can understand a passing opinion, or a comment to say 'yes I like them because....' or a passing comment to answer the original post, saying 'I don't like them because.....'. But it's worse than that, much worse.....some people on this, and many other threads seem outraged by these scooters, and have felt compelled to make a whole heap of posts saying 'it's Chinese' 'it won't last' 'not for me' 'I'm out' 'I'm still out' 'I'm definitely out' repeat, repeat, repeat.
OK, we heard you the first time (and the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, etc) we get it......you don't like Scomadi!!! lol
