Complete tool kits off eBay...
Anyone ever bought one? Seen the whole shebang on there for about £150, but before I part with the cash id sooner know if they're made from decent metal or Red Leicester.

Ebay's a big place - do you have any particular toolkit in mind?
Very few "Lambretta" tools that I've bought have been fit for purpose and that's buying from reputable dealers.

Did you have to do that?

I bought one and for the most part it's fine for a hobby mechanic like me. The clutch holding tool was laughable though; if it were made from red Leicester I could at least have made a decent toastie. Unfortunately it was just made of s**t met and twisted out of all recognition when I applied the tiniest load.

I've bought some sh*t and dumped it too,
Bought some decent tools off Corrado though.

I bought one indian origin.
looked ok till you tried to used them
Once I replaced the M7 bolts with decent ones the rear hub puller works
The clutch compressor needed serious fettling to get it to fit.
The fork compressor needed serous fettling
The flywheel holding tool didn't fit and just made my own in the end.
Never had a problem with the flywheel removing tool.
I am slowly making my own better tools or replacing them with decent quality ones.

That's what I was concerned about, fettling and poor quality from Asia. Think I'll buy a few bits elsewhere. Cheers.
