Muscle Problems Working on my Scoots

have the same symtoms,started about 18 months ago,been diagnosed as rotator cuff tendonitis,just been for steroid injections and taking naproxen,a anti -inflammotory,both a lot better but still not right

I have had the same and had cortisone injections but they become ineffective after a few so surgery was the only answer. Had both shoulders done and my left elbow. Given me a few more years riding yet.

I've had this problem, had it in both shoulders, cured one shoulder by taking ibuprofen 3 times a day for many months, and resting my arm, no heavy lifting etc, very painful. My other shoulder didn't respond to tablets, I also had 12 injections and they just wore off after a short while, I ended up having an operation on it which fixed it, and had no problems since,I would go and see your doctor and get them to refer you to hospital if need be, I know how painful this can be and I hope you can get it sorted out.

I am in the middle of the doctors trying to deal with what they are now convinced is an alergy. Naproxen is the prime suspect. Bad rash, headaches and trouble with "movements" as doctors call having a dump. Current major problem is heavy duty dull headache - so far resistant to paracetamol and ipruprofen, I am now take both in combination - which brings on another set of unwanted side effects.

It obviously works for some/most users, but you don't want to be the one it doesn't.

Got my own issues but its all the getting old factor, i'm losing the feeling in my hands doesn't help that I'm diabetic tbh.The biggest problem is that I think I've tightened stuff up but it's nowhere near tight because I can't tell through the lack of feeling.Countless times I've had to ask a mate to check my nuts (no not them ones) to make sure they're tight and been surprised at how much more tighter they can go.Suppose I got to get used to it but its a right pain so totally sympathise with anyone who suffers from all this crap.

My scooter related issues are 'trigger finger' which is where you fingers get stuck in the closed position.......

Mine have started doing that in the last week or so but they get locked open as well. It's weird, its like my finger joints have over stretched and locked.

Ain't old age a pisser!



+1 on the hydraulic bench advice. You'll wonder how you ever did without it.

Sorry to hear so many of you are suffering, interested to know whether those that are have a hydraulic bench or not.....2nd best thing I ever bought...

I've got a converted hospital bed - far superior to the steel "workbenches" (IMHO).

I still get all the age related crap Tim although it's been a while since anyone felt my nuts....

While having the correct kit will alleviate some issues the aging process can be a right 'mare for some.
