Thanks Smoore gt225...finally got a sender and gauge kit..arrived today,had sent you an e mail..meanwhile....what I would like to know seeing as the wiring diagrams were sent via e mail and really small to work out...My set up is BGM stator with a 5 pin rectifier for trickle charge to Battery in legshield toolbox...Is ther a straightforward way for connections and do I need to use the ignition switch at all ?? as shown on diagram ............thanks so far for your help Gents....... 8-)

you will need to use the ignition switch, as you dont want a permanant feed to your gauge,it should be fused as well just to be on the safe side ,just in case you ever get a short circuit, when i wired mine i used the lighting circuit, as my ignition switch didnt have a switched live in the running position, i always ride with my lights on anyway so that i can be seen,

Thanks Holty, and yes it does help.... just need to sort out which wire for the switch as an ON/OFF.. was also thinking of putting a flick switch as an alternative for live feed from battery, when I get round to doing this, at least I ve got a better idea....would have been easier if those pesky diagrams were a bit clearer........cheers again...... 8-)

you will have 2 connections on the guage, one goes to earth, the other goes to the sender, did you buy them as a pair ?

Yes Holty...bought them as a pair, very quick delivery and certainly looks the part.....just the only criticism was they email the wiring and fitting instructions which do not come out clear, worse thing is the more I blow the pictures up the less they make sense...hence why I asked on here...thanks again mate for your help appreciated..... 8-)

hi sorry for late reply I just used a switch from Halfords and use that to switch it on and off

I like the look of the ones that just replace your existing fuel cap, no wiring and no fuss only problem is there a bit costly on eBay, there's someone else selling them on line slightly cheaper but as of yet I'm still waiting for a reply to the email I sent him last week.

I used a Koso AC to DC converter to power a Stage 6 EGT , you join it into the brown lighting power and then run a feed to your auxiliary. http://www.digital-speedos.co.uk/12-vol ... -132-p.asp

that looks good there is 4 wires are they all needed
