Lambretta 5 plate clutch spider for Rapido 250

Hello looking for some advice

I need a clutch inner / spider for a motor a friend is building for me to visit Italy next year it's being all rebuilt to a very good spec it's a Rapido250 with a LTH reed , 60mm AF crank ( welded etc ) , new BGM ignition and flywheel and BGM clubman . Turning my attention now to the clutch , I intend to use a readspeed 5 plate housed a MB deeper crown wheel I'm wondering which clutch spider ? don't think I can stretch to the MB one is anybody using Atomic ,I see Beedspeed do a billet type . Any thoughts ?

I had an atomic and it did not work with the MB crown wheel. The spider did not protrude through the crown wheel.

Might work with a different set but check it out first.

i use the atomic spider in a race engine , its excellent quality , i have a tino deep crown wheel , mrb pressure plate/mrb springs and atomic spider , with this i can get 7 surflex 2.5mm greens with 1.2mm steels , i had to get the longer pressure bush that af rayspeed sell for the old clutch kits that used side case packer and machine it it down as a standard one was to short to reach the pressure plate.

i built a homebrew kit more or less with your intended set up, readspeed plates (5) + springs, atomic spider but with a lambretta.it (Tino?) crownwheel. with a standard old spindle pressure plate to go with the drilled tv200 cluster. turned out well with no need for bent tabs on top cork, which i dont like but had to do on a MB set up. i was concerned about the finish of the spiders bearing surface and thought it best to use a bush rather than the bearings i wanted.none of the" better " quality grooved bushes fitted in the sproket, so used the standard Indian and filed a groove. i did get some of the spider shims to take up the slack you sometimes get but i dont think i used them in the end.
