Well the MB dust cover arrived in good time but guess what it doesn't fit either and is the same size as the Scootrs one. ID of the dust cover is 59mm and OD of the top of forks is close to 62mm.
Wonder if there is some variance in fork sizes?
Guess I'll have to take a file to the top of the forks.

If you file the bottom of the fork stem, then the lower bearing track will be an even looser fit on the forks.Did you strip the forks down,if so have you got the original dust cover ?

I have just had a thought. If your forks are for a series 1 or 2,they dont have a dust cover and the bottom of the stem is 62mm.On a series 3 they use a dust cover under the bearing race, the bottom of the stem is 59mm.

I'd need to check photos of strip down but fro memory it either didn't have a lower dust cover or it was very worn and mangled. It certainly had an upper dust cover.
Wonder if it's had some series 1 or 2 forks fitted at some point. Are there any other distinguishing features?
If I filed the forks it wouldn't be the area where the bearing track fits on the stem just larger OD on the top of the forks.

Thanks!

If the bottom of the fork stem is 62mm,then they are either series 1 or 2 forks.
