I became tired of having to search for the tiny end of the channel and often having my foot slip off. I had a steel "U" welded on. More room for my foot, no need to search, and as a bonus a useful place to lock a security chain.

Some owner since my P200e left the factory in 1980 got tired of dealing with the rubber feet on the stand. So pieces of channel were welded on to replace those feet.
I became tired of having to search for the tiny end of the channel and often having my foot slip off. I had a steel "U" welded on. More room for my foot, no need to search, and as a bonus a useful place to lock a security chain.
