Talking in the pub ........... it's strange we can invade other countries and go to war without a vote but the EU issue needs all the country to make a decision ?

TBH I don't think we should be given the vote, let's be honest the majority of us haven't got a clue about the economics involved and we're relying on our "gut feeling".

I can't help feel Cameron is ducking the responsibility of making the decision himself and passing the buck to us. What do we vote in a government for if not to make these decisions ?

I'm for leaving but whichever way it goes there'll be problems and shouts of "i told you so".

Maybe if the elected representatives did a better job, you'd be more informed as to the economics.
Maybe if they weren't such a bunch of fuckingliars, you'd trust them to tell you the truth about those economics.

While both sides are unable to tell the truth without distorting any figures to suit their agenda, gut feeling is the only thing you'll have to go on.

Uxbridge MP Boris Johnson popped up on BBC Breakfast this morning to say that more money could be spent on science and the NHS, instead of Greek tobacco or bullfighting, if the UK left the EU. "£110m a year of CAP money goes on Spanish bullfighting for heaven's sake," the former Mayor of London said.

The claim: £110m a year of EU agricultural subsidies go to fund Spanish bullfighting.
Reality check verdict: Not any more. Spending EU agricultural funds for the purpose of Spanish Bullfighting is specifically prohibited ( source BBC reality check all verifiable)

The biggest problem IMHO is not really the good arguments either side but the people they have promoting their view.
i.e. a lot of people aren't going to see beyond boris/farage and gove and if they, like me, can't stand the sight or sound of any of them then your argument isn't going to get heard.

I shall vote a resounding IN anyway, I have family all over Europe (not ex pats but born in Holland/Italy etc) and have my eye on retiring to Bracciano when my time comes, perhaps the more travelled you are and the more effort you make the more you see things from outside the UK?
