After asking for advise on which small block kit to use on a new project, I've decided to go with a GT186 kit. I've spoken to Richard, and have ordered the kit, crank and carb. He also advised me on a few exhaust options. I've narrowed them down to two choices, a BGM, or the Scootopia Ancillotti. What are people's real world experience of running these pipes with this kit? Both look well made, but one is double the price of the other, is that cost warranted? I've not decided what gearbox I'm going to use ( probably LI150 ) with correct sprockets to achieve the desired final drive. Thanks in advance Pete.

I've used both the ancillotti and bgm.
Bgm wins hands down for me. Slightly less bottom end, but much quicker overall.
Don't misunderstand my comment about less bottom end. It's marginal.

The scotopia one is only 95 quis at the moment and they have taken on board any design modifications

That's true. Particularly the hooks fouling the head cowl, which seems to be a regular complaint. They've repositioned them now.

I went for one of Richards 60 x 110 cranks. I was going to go for a cheaper one, but decided not to risk it. Why spend good money on a kit, and skimp on the crank? That's how I see it anyway.garry inglis wrote:hi holty what crank did you go for
