I think the point is that the ability to build 330's is a "league above" powerful engines based on standard or near standard cases. The 330's do not replace the standard kits or cases, these will still be the biggest seller, but it will open up the "monster engine" market to the owner who is capable of handling such an engine but not necessarily capable of building such a thing from scratch (because not everyone has the skills, equipment or space)

The 330's will not be maxed out, they will have massive torque compared to standard which will make them a phenomenal ride BUT they WILL NOT be everyone's cup of tea. The 330's will not be optimised for maximum power, it will be down to tuners to play with the set up and pipe. I guess prototypes will get tested around June/July time so I'll be in a better place share performance figures then.

There is a breed of rider and owner that appreciate the GT186 - GT200 because they are everything that Innocenti could have done but didn't. Building and riding a GT186-200 kit is a departure from standard but is still relevant to the purest, reversible, no cutting, not welding, great performance and traditional methods.

On the other hand, there is another type of owner/rider who doesn't give a monkey's and will do anything for BHP. The 330's is for them, it will be interesting to see how many of you there are.

I think 3,5k is a very keen price for this sort of performance. I for one will be getting one, may take me a while and be done in dribs and drabs but ill get there.. :D
As an aside. Someone needs to bring out an app or something that allows you to purchase scooter parts without she who must be obeyed getting wind. In my case its eithef cash to a mate or the dreaded postal order. ;) a right pain in the backside

First batch will be standard 200 cases, but with all the extra case material. Basically, if you're looking for a case for your next kit build. If you looking for a 330, this is still a couple of months away.

By the time they arrive I'll be able to offer the rest of the parts. By this time I will have a couple on the road and shaken down so we don't have any embarrassing don't fit moments.

The demand is remarkably high so it is probable the first batch will go pretty quick.

The casing will be machined to take the larger con rod throw of 64mm as standard.

Thanks, I have my name down for one with Eden,
is the New Gt crank available in 64mm if so would you be doing a longer rod, thinking 115.
And will these be available roughly the same time as the cases.

Sounds like your a busy man

The GT cranks are 60 and 62mm with 110 rods, they are available from first week in April several weeks before the cases. In fact I flew a few cranks over early and I have about 3 x 62 stroke cranks available from stock now.

For anything bigger you need to look further afield like LTH plus 64 cranks. I will not be making a 64 stroke crank or a longer rod.

I have a question regarding the design of these cases. As they are a new design albeit based on Innocenti's original concept could the case not of been extended slightly to allow the fitting of perhaps 12" wheels? I'm sure there is room within the chassis to allow it and would make riding much safer / enjoyable. It's seems to me that as it was a blank canvas perhaps a safety improvement has been missed. I'm not slating what is a brilliant looking case I'm just thinking out loud here and if I'm talking rubbish feel free to shoot me down.

When you extend the casing either by length or width you run into all sorts of problems which take you away from the key market volume. If you do not have market volume then you do not have a product that will sell in sufficient quantities to make it viable.

To answer the specific question about 12" wheels. This would require the case to be lengthened as there is no space between the tyre and the back of the case (especially as the case is now much bigger to accommodate the CR250 crank and bump stop). If the case is lengthened then original side cases do not fit and you also fowl the back of the frame. If you attempt to compensate for frame contact by moving the engine forward you fowl the exhaust on the splash plate and the taller cylinders will not clear the frame. Not to mention new hub and rims or similar solution. It's all a bit of a buggars muddle.

All these modifications sound really easy, but your perspective is really quite clear when you commit to make these things. All of the casings I know of all utilise the same side case and none run 12" wheels. I couldn't swear to it but I'd be pretty sure we're all on the "same page" for a good reason.
