I think we're up to 7

What are the low cost 300 cc water cooled cylinders or the 330? I cannot seem to find any info on them.
If you fitted the 300 or 330 cylinder, what else would you need?
What spec of clutch and crankshaft bearings etc.

What are the ball park costs?

Let's say the case comes in at £500, if you're looking for high spec Lambretta specific parts then you can add £600 for a decent crank and clutch; £2-300 for a decent ignition set up; assuming the top end is similarly priced to a decent Lambretta kit, say, £500; 5 speed gearbox £800; carb £150; exhaust £300; other small parts £200.

That's you on to, say £3350.

On a Misano the case is £1200 dearer but you get a crank and ignition, saving say £500, taking you to around the £4K mark.

All of that because you submit to LAT - Lambretta Added Tax

If any of the new cases can be economically converted to take more commonly available mass produced motorcycle parts, that overcome some of the shortcomings of the 50 odd year old Lambretta designs, then you could be onto a winner.

I am still trying to get my series 2 up and running. 10 years so far to get to the stage i am at. Another split with my partner means i have movef again and am now on process of starting again.
Once i finish it hopefully this year :)
I was thinking of an ld ish type thing and would possibly like a monster engine.
Not sure on the 5 speed gearbox that are available. Seem very hard to set up and expensive when they brake.

I have always wondered why water cooled had not been developed more.

But it would seem to get a total flying machine its 3-4 k and disc brakes on top :)

I've probably spent about 2k on my Rapido motor, between one thing and another ( some bad decisions and money wasted). Probably about the same collecting parts to build an Avanti based motor.

Be interesting to see what the liquid cooled, fuel injected SP motor does / costs, though I expect it to be similarly priced to a targa twin.

The new 330 barrel will use a modified bike crank, a bike ignition, a better clutch and looking at a new cush drive to fit the crank. Once all these parts are made I'll be doing a long term test on the engine.
Most of the parts will be new including the gearbox.

PM me to express and interest in any of the new or current GT parts :)

Where's the fun in that?! Just sell me a casing, barrel and crank (ignition if absolutely necessary... taper difference?) and let me put some miles on it :)

Sounds good
I shall wait and see how you go with the new engine.
See how they perform and reliability etc.

I am hoping they are going to be good strong and reliable :)
