Knackered RB20 barrel options

The scored area in the barrel around the exhaust port is pretty deep,so an oversize and re-plate looks to be out of the options.
Can anybody recommend a place that may be able to fit an iron sleeve and match the existing ports?,and if so,how much do you think it will cost roughly?

If you send it to Lancourts they will repair any deep scores and replate the cylinder.You will have to send your piston,or a new one if the old one is damaged and they will hone the cylinder to suite the piston.

PJ motorcycle engineers near Wolverhampton. They will supply, fit and match an iron liner for about £150-£160

Aptec will do the welding and ceramic liner for about £180. Its a spot on service and they do F1 motors so you know its a quality product

Thanks for the info,ill pass it on,in the mean time ill have to dig something out so he can use the scoot till the necessary cash can be saved.
